Shazam

Shazam is the music recognition app that can identify any song playing around you in seconds. Tap the Shazam button while music plays — in a cafe, on the radio, or in a video — and the app tells you the song title, artist, and album, then links you to lyrics, music videos, and streaming services.

Every song you identify is saved to your Shazam library, so you can revisit discoveries later and build playlists from them. The app connects with Apple Music and Spotify, letting you add Shazamed songs to your playlists with a tap. Shazam also works hands-free: enable Auto Shazam to keep identifying music in the background, or use it from the notification shade and lock screen.

Beyond identification, Shazam helps you explore music. See trending charts by country and city, follow artists to get notified about new releases and concerts, and read synced lyrics to sing along. You can even Shazam songs playing inside other apps on your phone using the pop-up Shazam button.

Shazam is free to download and use. It is developed by Apple and available on Android and iOS.
